What property owners and tenants need to know about Fort Collins’ new trash collection service

As of September 30, 2024, Fort Collins will be transitioning to a new trash collection service provided by Republic Services. According to city officials, “this change is designed to increase opportunities for compositing and recycling, provide equitable, consistent pricing across the community, as well as increase safety and reduce emissions by reducing the number of trash trucks on residential streets.”
